Hello dear Ikea fans,

maybe someone can help me. I am considering (even if it may seem a bit impractical at first glance) installing a built-in refrigerator into the VÄRDE base cabinet. Of course, the back panel would be removed.

Is this possible? Has anyone perhaps done this before?

Would be grateful for help.
Best regards,

It should work. I vaguely remember a case where this was also tried. But ... minor modifications are of course a prerequisite.

Well, that already sounds great! Thanks a lot for the quick reply! Do you still remember what needs to be rebuilt (apart from the fact that the back must be open)? It would be bad if I buy a refrigerator and then have a moderate handyman problem. Thanks and regards, Disconaut

Actually not... Just try it, if there are any problems, get in touch. We will try to help. With a bit of craftsmanship, it should not be a problem and not a major construction site...

Hello again!

Thank you Maverick for the previous answers.
Now I have already failed in choosing the refrigerator.
Due to the feet of the Värde system, the usable height in the cabinet is lower than in "normal" built-in cabinets.

No matter how long I search, I can't find a refrigerator with the suitable height

If anyone comes across something, I would be grateful for a tip.

Best regards,
Disconaut

[Edit: kein Dekorfähiger-Kühlschrank. Ich möchte ich wirklich ganz im Unterschrank "verstecken". Daher Schlepptürtechnik.]

How much is missing in height? Is the refrigerator suitable for under-counter installation? Or is it more than a few centimeters??? What about the possibility of removing the base plate and placing the refrigerator directly on the floor??? It probably looks stupid, right?
