Utrusta Push Door Opener IKEA: How do I remove the clip?

Hello, when I take the Utrusta push-to-open (non-electric) out of the packaging, the metal clip that is supposed to be clipped on after mounting is already closed. But it has to be removed for screwing it in. I just can’t manage to get it off, is there a trick? It’s not explained in the instructions either…

Neneneneneneneeee, do not remove the metal, then you'll break the thing. In the packaging, to the right of the Druckturöffner, there are two plastic strips. These are screwed into the cabinet and the D-t-ö is clipped onto them.
