The roof of our house was covered with flat Tegalit roof tiles. However, instead of normal verge tiles, black verge sheets were used on the edge finishes. I looked at the houses on my street and no one has used sheets for the finishes. Question to the experts here: Is the use of sheets okay and are there advantages or disadvantages compared to normal verge tiles? Thanks in advance.

I am noting this down. I also have these verge flashings. At first, I was surprised because I actually didn't want that. But I accepted it because it really looks good. They also managed the connection to the tiles well.

It is important to make sure that these verge flashings are installed under the tiles.

I have seen that now too and wondered why they use metal sheets. But here is the solution to my question.

This balances the transition and that is not bad, in my opinion.

Hello,

Thank you for the hint. We will also have verge tiles installed next year. If the transitions do not fit exactly, they should also use such sheet metal. If it looks perfect, why not.

My neighbor also used this [Ortgang Blech]. I have it too, and that provides a good finish. I have seen this several times now, it seems to be the trend.
