Hello,

can the existing heating oil tank be used as a diesel tank? Is approval necessary? And is it approvable? The heating oil tank is already installed to be flood-proof (flood area). Thank you.

Do I understand that correctly? You have a built-in heating oil tank and want to store diesel in it? How does the diesel get in there? Chemically definitely no problem but the fire load

And how does he get out again? Own fuel pump available, which has also been approved by TÜV? Why do you want to store it?

As far as I know, there is a regulation that a maximum of 20 liters may be stored in the basement. But please don't ask where this is stated.

Hi,

above all, you have to clean very, very well. Heating oil is dyed and this dye still stains like crazy even in extreme dilution. In other words, it could happen that it discolors the diesel.

What are you planning, to take advantage of the currently low prices and stockpile the diesel demand for the next 5 years?

Best regards,

Andreas

how large is the tank? You can assume that anything from 1000l requires approval and is subject to special conditions. Double-walled etc pp. Keyword AwSV

Currently, the oil heating is supplied from this tank. The heating system will be removed and a heat pump will be installed. Then I will have an empty 6000 l heating oil tank underground. A fuel dispenser still needs to be installed, technically certainly no problem.
