Hello everyone,

we are currently in the approval planning phase for our city villa with an extension on the ground floor. I have now seen in the floor plan that there is no underfloor heating planned in the utility room. However, according to the contract, we have underfloor heating on the ground floor and first floor. Now I am wondering if I should insist on underfloor heating in the utility room? The architect says that there are so many pipes running there that the floor is warm anyway. We don’t want to pay for something we won’t get.

We want to achieve Kfw55. Maybe this information is important regarding the ratio of heated area to living area.

Thanks and regards, Redsonic

This is often how GÜ builds. Here with us too. Underfloor heating on the ground floor and upper floor, not in the utility room because the heating is installed there and therefore no heating is needed. You pay nothing you don’t get, because: if it were planned, your final house price would be higher. The calculation for your part of the house is based on "without heating in the utility room".

If the HKV is there, many queues lead to and from there anyway

With us, the heating circuit distributor is _not_ there

I hardly believe that an exemption for the utility room will be possible; especially not with KFW 55. Wait for the corresponding calculations and budget a bit for the additional heating loops; then you should be on the safe side.

Rhenish regards

We also have underfloor heating in the utility room. I wouldn't know why an additional charge should be justified based on the description in the 1st post.
