Good day,
we bought an old farmhouse a little over a month ago, which we want to modernize.
Our plan was actually to install underfloor heating (gas boiler is already present) in the living room and to build in a fireplace.
Anyway, now a big problem has arisen: when we removed the floorboards, we noticed that we probably do not have enough space for the installation of underfloor heating.
On one side, we have a height of 140 mm for the installation of the heating, but on the other side only about 60-70 mm.
This is because from about the middle of the living room, the cellar begins and there we already hit the cellar ceiling.
Now I would like to know if someone can tell me whether there are meanwhile new innovations or systems with which an underfloor heating can be installed despite having only a low installation height.
Or maybe someone also has another brilliant suggestion for me; I am currently quite at a loss.
