We had 120x260cm tiles installed in the bathroom, and we had to "order" a special box for the delivery.

After the tiles were installed, the box is now lying in our driveway. Is it now trash?

Or does it work like with Euro pallets and you can return it?

For that, I would ask the supplier of the tiles.

What does such a part look like or what material is it made of? I would immediately think of something DIY for the garden.

"Order along" probably means the transport packaging had to be added to the shopping cart (?) - then it should be clear from the delivery terms and/or the delivery note and/or the invoice whether this is a rental or purchase item (this can be recognized as "price" or "deposit" but does not have to be).

Just ask your tile dealer... mine wanted that too - cost 190 euros.... I declined gratefully since it was only about 5 sqm of wall and took 120x120 without a transport box.
