Good day everyone,
our construction is progressing and there are occasionally questions that could be wonderfully resolved with this forum, the following problem I somehow cannot solve on my own and hope for your help.

It is about the transition from brick facade to ETICS with plaster, how should it be done correctly? Attached are two sketches, which variant is to be preferred with regard to thermal bridging caused by the metal sheet, or is it negligible? Does anyone have experience with this?
Thank you

This is how it was resolved for us (drawing is from the architect):

Thank you for the response, so the zinc cover as a thermal bridge is harmless? And one more question, is there no wooden plank under the cover or was it just not drawn in?

No idea ;) - but I believe there is wood under the cover. The thermal bridge is probably negligible. Only this way you can be sure that no water runs into the core insulation when it rains.
