Hello everyone,

we received the first offers today for the construction of the sewage and wastewater pipe.

Regarding the matter itself:
We have a new construction project.
Currently, there is a transfer shaft on the driveway.
The wastewater pipes come in at two points (middle gable and middle house front).

Now, in the offers, a revision shaft is planned where the two pipes come together and then go about 4m further with a pipe to the already existing transfer shaft. This revision shaft is supposed to cost a whopping 1,400 EUR, plus backfill material and excavation disposal (because clay is not suitable).

My question is whether the revision shaft is necessary if there is already a transfer shaft on the property? It would bother me to have two covers on the driveway.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards
Conrad

What does your development plan say? If a manhole is required, you must build it, sometimes even 2 if a separate sewer system is present. If not, leave it out. When in doubt, ask the local water supervisor.
