Toilet seat cover with soft-close mechanism wanted

Hello everyone,

does anyone know a manufacturer where the soft-close mechanism in the toilet seat can be replaced in case of a defect?

Currently, we have a Keramag 4U rimless toilet, where after 3 years the soft-close mechanism has worn out and thus become unusable.

Unfortunately, the entire seat now has to be replaced, which suddenly costs 130€...

Now I have read somewhere that there are also manufacturers where the soft-close mechanism is a replaceable component.

I would be grateful for any information

I ordered exactly that model as well, but for exactly these reasons without that frill. However, it would be interesting to find a solution for that. I find it very practical.

Maybe just take a look at the manufacturer "Laufen." I believe at least that they offer toilets where the soft-close mechanism can be replaced.

It should work with "Laufen". Otherwise, try looking online.

130,- for a lid?????

We got some from our installer commissioned by the BU as additional equipment for 30,- each.

Never in life €130 for a toilet seat! Or was it designed personally by da Vinci? Well, joking aside. I wouldn’t spend more than 30 euros either. At most, another 10 on top if you want something a bit nicer...
