The wastewater pipe of our toilet was completely clogged with urine scale and recently had to be extensively cleaned. However, our house is only 10 years old, and after such a short time, a wastewater pipe cannot completely clog up, can it? The craftsman said it is due to the pipes and their rough surfaces; such pipes would not be used nowadays. Now the question is whether I should replace the pipes or if there is a way to prevent urine scale. Does anyone have a tip?

A strong buildup of limescale can also be increased by exclusively using the water-saving flush button of the toilet; then too little water flows to properly flush the pipe. Occasionally using the full flush performance would be better. Try it that way first before spending a lot of money on new pipes.
