Hello,
we want to cover our garden shed with leftover roof tiles.
What is the best way to install the battens underneath?
I have already asked roofers, but nobody wants to do a garden shed.
I am a bit unsure about how the battens and counter battens need to be mounted so that we can cover it properly later.
Data:
- Roof pitch 19 degrees
- Tiles approved up to 16 degrees
- Tiles Brass Rubin 13V
- Underlay is installed
- From eaves to ridge it is 181 cm
- From gable to gable 238 cm
I have attached pictures with the data of the tiles.
I know experts will now say: "it's all on the website." But I don't get it.
At the eaves and the gables, the edge of the tiles should fit as precisely as possible.
The overhang of the tiles should therefore be kept as small as possible, but of course without cutting.
We still have enough normal roof tiles. However, I still need verge tiles and ridge tiles for the beginning and end.
We don't have ridge connection tiles, and I want to do without them as well.
How do I best install the ridge tile then? Do I need a ridge board, or are there other options?
Do I need a ridge roll for ventilation?
