Hello everyone,

we have a legal dispute regarding a lease area in the territory of the former GDR. A very crucial question (due to a possible claim for damages) revolves around the current value of a 1000 sqm concrete open area. The area was concreted between 1970 and 1980 and is used for commercial purposes (mainly building material storage). How does one determine the current value for such an area, or does anyone among you possibly have expert experience or is a building surveyor? Is there a standard procedure or depreciation tables for this? And how are the invested funds estimated, i.e., the production costs on which the current value depends?! The plaintiff demands a current value of 15€ per sqm. Is that realistic for a concrete surface over 30 years old? Can you help me with this question or perhaps suggest a better contact for this inquiry?
