Hello, I urgently need help and support We have a tilt-and-slide glass door in our bedroom in the house, which means that to open the door, the turn handle must be turned from the bottom position to the left. Then the door can be pulled out of the frame to open it and slid to the left. This way the door is open. Conversely, it should be closed and locked again. But it is not. We had a strong storm last night up to hurricane strength and I didn’t sleep a wink. The door is not properly locked. The turn handle is loose and when the storm hits the door, the door moves. I tried to wedge it with wooden wedges, which holds temporarily, but for how long. I urgently need advice on how I should proceed. Best regards Michael

Manufacturer? Model? Pictures?

That makes help easier and more targeted...

That is a parallel sliding-tilt door, right? I have one too and I can only close it with a trick because something is broken.

[Modell und Bilder würden helfen.]

A wobbly handle sounds bad though.

Hello,
I just took a few more pictures of the door.
Best regards, Michael

One more note, the wind comes from the left and then catches on the outer door jamb. This causes the door leaf on the right to be pushed about 5-8 mm away from the frame. For me as a layman, this means that the door leaf is not locked. However, I cannot take any risks in the current storm situation. I am glad that it is now reasonably tight due to the wedging. Regards, Michael

Is that a new house? I would write a complaint about defects to the [GU]?
