Tiler tile work not done properly

Hi everyone, we are currently having our bathroom done for 13,000 and the tiler did not fully apply adhesive on the tile for the shower. I asked him and he said "with a 30/60 tile that is not necessary." Is that correct? As soon as I google tile work, you see everywhere that tile adhesive is used and not just in spots. What do you mean by that? Do you mean the adhesive underneath?

How many spots are there per tile?

The colleague described everything correctly. If he says "fully covered," he most likely means underneath the tile. I don’t know any tiler who applies the adhesive on top of the tiles.
