Hello everyone,

about a year ago I tiled some rooms indoors and grouted them with PCI Flexfuge Sandgrey (No. 22). Now I notice that the grout in the entire floor area is sanding or is so soft that I can scrape it out with my fingernail. In the skirting area and in other rooms (same flooring, just different grout color) the grout is hard.

After closely inspecting the rooms, here is the kicker: When the 25 kg bag was used up, I got a 5 kg bag and in this area the grout is hard (and slightly darker)!! And the same applies to the skirting area.

I contacted the manufacturer, but they absolutely need the batch number that is on the bag. Of course, I didn't keep it...

What could be the cause? Has anyone had similar problems with the product? Is there a warranty/guarantee for the grout?

Best regards, your Franz!

Hello, possibly old or joint mortar has already become damp.

Aja, interesting. Now I have received an answer from the manufacturer: Although he did not get the batch number he originally absolutely needed, the goods were in order. No idea on what basis this statement is made... However, the manufacturer is offering us a few hundred euros!! How is that possible? He wouldn't give anything away voluntarily, would he?
