Hello,

I have been a silent reader for a while and have already received interesting information. Since our construction is planned to start in September, the individual offers from the trades have now arrived.

We are still unsure about the heating system. The offer initially includes a gas heating system with ST and as an alternative a brine heat pump. A gas connection would be available since the existing house will be demolished and a new building erected.

There are no questions about the gas heating system so far, but about the heat pump. The heating company offers:
-Vaillant flexotherm 4.63 VWF117/4 exclusive
-Solar module VR70
-Vaillant allSTOR exclusiv VPS 800/3-7
-Vaillant aquaFLOW exclusive VPM 20/25/2W

Now my question. Does it all make sense? On the one hand, a heat pump, plus solar thermal energy, which was actually only intended for the gas heating system, then a tankless water heater and the hot water storage tank that is necessary. Ok, with the hot water we probably would never have a problem and could fill a pool with it.

The house has a size of 130m², ground floor + upper floor and no basement.

Maybe one of you can explain this to me. Thanks

Regards Marco

ST and instantaneous water heaters are in my opinion unnecessary with a brine heat pump.

Hot water storage tanks of 190 liters integrated into the heat pump are sufficient for us.

I don't know the details of the aforementioned heat pump, but it's questionable whether it's the right one if you still need a bunch of additional components.

I thought the same, that both things are unnecessary. There are also two variants from Vaillant, one of which also has a 180l hot water storage tank integrated, and I would say that it is enough for a household of 4 people. How many of you are there and what kind of heating system do you have installed?

We have the VWF 58/4 for 190 sqm heated area (without basement) - the storage tank is fine. It was empty once so far - we limited reheating to one time per day and after 3 showers the last child had to shower with colder water in the evening.

We are currently three and have a dimplex ground source heat pump with approximately 6kW.

They offer you an 11kW heat pump - steer clear of it, completely oversized. I am a fan of large storage tanks - it would be a no-go for me if the heat runs out after three showers.
