Hi,

we have a larger window with a door to the terrace in the living room.
I recently noticed that when I press and pull on the frame, a small gap forms between the window frame and the silicone joint connecting the tiles.

Is that all okay or is something not right?

Here are a few pictures of my "pressing".

Has come loose, yes. But it's not a big deal, as the silicone joint is only for cosmetic reasons. How old is the house? Silicone joints separate during the drying process of the screed and need to be renewed. It may be that they are now starting to crack little by little at your place. This is not a warranty case, it should also be stated somewhere with you that silicone joints are excluded. Many BUs point this out in advance and offer to remove the joints only after one to two years.

The house is one year old I don't know if the silicone joint has come loose. I was actually more concerned that I can move the window frame back and forth so much.

Since it has to be screwed on, I think nothing should move there.

yes, that was also my thought. Should it be rock solid or is a little play allowed?
