Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my basement door, a floor-to-ceiling 2-leaf door, and urgently need your help.
I have noticed that water easily gets inside.
I then removed the paving on the outside and found that the PCI Thene I installed had come loose, so water is getting under the foam seal (black) under the window and exactly in the corner is migrating inside.
I have simulated this with water from the outside and thus it is confirmed.
Directly in front of the base plate is the drainage.
Now to my question for the experts.
My idea would be to straighten the lateral wall closure, cut the existing PCI Thene cleanly and straight, and properly overlap and bond everything again with PCI Thene.
Would this procedure be okay?
Or should I also place PCI in the corner?
PCI BT 45 inner corner
Art. no.: 005020011235
PVC shaped part
Sealing of foundation corners
Should I put it in the corner as well?
It would be great if you could give me a tip.
Thank you very much in advance and best regards
Oliver
