Hi!

As I just wrote in another post, I am installing the wall cabinets Faktum with the vertically mounted side hinges (119160).

The first door is mounted.

The manual already describes on page 24 that you can increase and decrease the tension with an adjusting screw.

But I am already a bit surprised during installation. In the mounting tension, it is so low that the flap does not even fully open – let alone keep the flap open permanently. I have to support it with my head to keep the flap open – just to be able to put something in.

Is this normal????

Closing is also sooooooo slooooowww that you can watch the door as it closes – damper yes, but that slow??? When I saw the safety tensioners, I thought it was a real "rocket" behind it.

Regards Jan :)

Have you already changed the tension? Different doors also have different weights that the hinges have to support - just try setting it a bit harder. And the doors really close slowly towards the end. I don't think that can be changed (I wouldn't see any problem with that).

hi!

Thanks for the tip.

Can you describe the adjusting a bit better for me – somehow I just can't get the hang of the screwdriver method!

Regards Jan :)
