Hello,

while searching for wooden windows in the UK, I came across a graphic. It is about the renovation of a 100-year-old house. Are such glazing (left in the picture) now common or is it something new? Which manufacturers are there in Germany so that I can read up on it? As far as I know, the production facility for LandVac, the type of glass, is from China. Panasonic also manufactures such glass now.

In the meantime, I have read that the costs are very high compared to usual double glazing. So my question has basically been answered.

Is still quite new and accordingly expensive. The U-values are of course great, but there are also limitations, for example regarding the maximum size that can be realized as a single pane.

As far as I know, in Germany only Fineo offers this. However, there are virtually no window manufacturers that supply suitable frames for it (Rehau and Salamander have been cooperating with Fineo since last year to develop windows). In this respect, you can probably buy the panes, but then you have to tinker (or have someone do it) to install them.

It only makes sense if monument protection plays a role. But even then, I would only choose regular glazing, as the effort/cost is probably still significantly simpler/cheaper.
