Hello,

unfortunately, I am not sure if this topic belongs here, but we have the existing floor tiles that we would like to renovate. Two things are important to us:

1. No joints on the floor
2. There is a slope towards the shower; we want to visually connect the area of the shower with the rest of the bathroom floor (see photo)

We do not want to remove the existing tiles; they already form a flat base. I see adhesive vinyl as relatively difficult to implement because of the slope towards the shower (bending point). I have seen synthetic resin and wonder if something would work or if there are problems regarding the slope and the existing tiles? Then synthetic resin would simply be poured over both surfaces.

Thank you.

Hello questioner.
What you intend to do is technically feasible without problems.
However, if you want to do it yourself, then I consider the matter closed for me with this sentence. That will not work and will not succeed!
Otherwise, only the tiles in the shower will be completely removed, the field profile in the reveal will disappear, and the surface will be rebuilt with a synthetic resin mortar. I would move the floor drain closer to the wall, possibly as a visually appealing stainless steel channel.
Then the slope can be formed across the entire surface.
The brown tiles will be ground with a diamond disc, then the entire surface will be cleaned with an alkaline basic cleaner and the surface neutralized and dried.
On this, a scratch coat based on EP will be applied so that the joint pattern does not visually show through later.
Then a PU coating will be applied over the entire area, in the shower area the coating must be thixotropized and provided on the back with a membrane (this is an elastified synthetic resin layer) against penetrating water (otherwise it will "give up" even before curing in the floor drain).
Last but not least, the overall measure must also take into account that the floor sealing in the shower must be connected to the wall sealing.
This point alone is craftwise such that a layman will "throw in the towel" and thus be overwhelmed craftwise.
----------------
What remains as a final thought is the well-meant suggestion to better entrust these jobs to an experienced specialist company in coating technology.
They have the necessary technology as well as the expertise concerning the execution(s) in detail.
Of course, you can do it yourself.
But then the overall work (and costs) will probably be incurred twice for the aforementioned reason...

What would be an alternative, something we could carry out ourselves?

You are entering a specialist area here that cannot be solved by a layperson either at all or only with appropriate technology and a high level of expertise due to the details of the execution. At some point, the layperson has to reach the limits of what is possible. Sorry, but no other advice can be given – even to minimize costs – given the described initial situation and the desire for changes.
