Hello,

we will start our construction project now in October and since we are building for the first time, I would like to hear your experiences on how to handle the provision for the construction workers as the client. Of course, breakfast is usually brought by the craftsmen themselves.

But what about drinks? Is it common for the client to provide a few crates of mineral water or occasionally make and bring coffee/tea, especially in the colder season now? Or maybe a crate of beer on Friday noon?

Best regards

Hello,

It has always proven that such "small things" preserve friendship and some "service."

Best regards

I would see it the same way, I just remember that my parents did this 20 years ago, I just have no idea how it is nowadays. I don't want to be a nuisance or anything...

I think now and then something like that is quite good and would certainly be gladly accepted.

Hello,

we always provided our construction workers with water and Spezi. And every day I brought coffee. They were really happy about that. And, for example, when our bricklayers were finished, they got a snack from us, since they were not at the topping-out ceremony but had the most work.

Regards,
Christine

OK, we certainly wouldn’t manage that every day since my wife and I work and are therefore busy early.

Thanks for the answers though, they encouraged me to do it now and then if we manage it in the morning.

I also think that if it is possible, you can definitely do something like that. After all, maybe work will be done a bit more "carefully" then. OK, let’s hope that is not the case and they always work carefully anyway. When you go somewhere yourself, it is much nicer if you are greeted with a coffee, isn’t it?
