For our hallway, I am looking for a suitable carpet. It should of course be durable. We also walk through the hallway with shoes, so this carpet should be resilient.

Who has an idea and what must definitely be considered?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

We have a loop pile carpet in the hallway. I think it’s quite good and it is not sensitive. It is important to pay attention to the loop density, and it should be sufficient. The carpet should also not lie too flat.

You do have to invest a bit here, but it will last longer for that.

Best regards

Nina

So I would advise against a carpet in the hallway. If this area is frequently used with street shoes, the carpet suffers a lot. Cleaning is not so easy and much more laborious than with tiles or a PVC floor.

Hello,

I recommend a sisal rug and we also have that for the hallway. I also like the look. Our sisal rug is from Alnatura. It is somewhat high in price, but it also has good organic quality.

Best regards

No, I am not a fan of a carpet in the hallway. In winter, it gets ruined quickly here. Everyone walks over it with their shoes, so it no longer looks inviting.

We have a coconut runner in the walking area and it disappears in the summer.

I also like these sisal rugs. That's how I bought our sisal rug at Ikea. They also have their own style and it fits our hallway. It is also sturdy and there is no damage here if it is walked on with shoes. I can only recommend it.
