Good day everyone,

In 2022, my partner and I bought a house.
The house was built in 2007.
The house is located on a corner plot.
According to borisnrw, my property is "exempt from contributions". Now the development of the adjacent street has begun.

Do I understand correctly that I will now be fully charged again for the development of the new properties (see attached files)?

Thank you in advance for the helpful statements!

Exciting question. Actually, there are no development costs anymore because you are already developed. And the contributions for the initial road construction have been abolished in NRW, as is well known.

Yes, very interesting. Since I do not live in NRW and I know it that way, for example, that an expansion or renovation of a residential street is also passed on to the owners, I googled and came across the fact that all street development charges in NRW are not passed on, i.e., are paid by the state, as long as they were decided after 1.1.2018. Accordingly, you do not have to pay anything if the decision regarding this street was made only after the magic date. However, it may be that this street was decided on before 2018, then the municipality can demand money from you. As I said: I do not know this myself, it says so on Google. Possibly investigate yourself.
