Submit Kfw application when financing?

Hello everyone,

we have a property that we are buying next week. Now the financing of the entire project involves the KfW application.

The bank (HVB) wants the KfW application for energy-efficient building filled out by the KfW expert. However, our consultant (Hanse Haus) told us that this is normally not necessary. What are your experiences here? Hanse Haus apparently has a special status with KfW due to special negotiated conditions?

We are also building with Hanse Haus and have also received the application from Hanse Haus without any problems. I cannot imagine a special status.

Our financial advisor informed us that for developers/companies there is an online application or a confirmation that the building is constructed according to, for example, KFW 55 standards, which is also completed and stamped by them and sent to the bank. Actually, the advisor from Hanse Haus should know how the process works with the documents for KfW; hopefully, you are not their first customers.

Thank you very much for the feedback. We will inquire about this again at Hanse Haus. It already seemed strange to us. Allegedly, this is very time-consuming for Hanse Haus. But it gives us good hope that others have received this.
