Hello everyone,

I have a probably really stupid question. We are starting our house construction next spring.
We already have a certain vinyl floor in mind for the living room/dining room/kitchen/utility room, which will probably be discontinued.
If I buy the floor in the next few months, I probably can't submit the invoice next year as part of the financing, right?

Thanks in advance!

Nope, you don't have to finance the material ;)

I would still consider whether I even want to have material that I can't reorder next year. Who knows what else will happen regarding the interior planning?

Of course, I can understand your objections - I am also quite uncertain.

But my point was, of course, that the floor covering should be co-financed.

If the invoice for the vinyl flooring fails due to insufficient additional equity, you should reconsider the whole thing with the house purchase/construction. You can just count it as "equity." *roflcopter*

Yes, let it be. I actually expected that I wouldn’t get a serious answer here.

I was concerned with the fundamental question. Whether one can possibly also strike early when it comes to bargains (for floors, paving...).

Sorry, seriously: items that need to be financed go into the financing, meaning you do not have access to the liquidity. Not any purchases that can be paid for.
