Hello dear people,

the following problem.
Our structural engineer is also our reviewing structural engineer.
The carpenter delivers the assembly plan to the structural engineer. The structural engineer approves it in writing ("in accordance with the structural analysis").
During the inspection as the reviewing engineer, he criticizes the execution. It is not in accordance with the structural analysis!
However, the roof structure was made exactly according to the assembly plan.

Who is to blame here?
How should we proceed?

Thank you very much.

Good morning.

Why is the culprit always being looked for immediately?

Just make an appointment with both on the construction site and let the structural engineer show the carpenter what he would have liked changed for the acceptance.

Communication makes life easier. Generalizations do not.

structural engineer+ carpenter in 1 place (e.g. on your roof) = win

As the client, you must insist.
