Hello everyone,

I installed a door frame from Kilsgaard (Type 3) today and inserted the hinges. Then I noticed that there is no side hole on the hinges to tighten them with an Allen key. That means the hinges are only inserted.
I then checked your second, identical, frame as well, and there is also no hole to fix the hinges there.
Now I wonder if the inserted hinges can hold permanently without fixation.
In the photo (which unfortunately is not very sharp) you can see in the red marked circle the spot where there is normally a hole to fix the hinges. However, this is not the case with this frame.

Since this is my first installed door, I wonder if I have overlooked something or if the hinges really cannot be fixed anymore.

Thank you very much.

It is the same with us. Different manufacturer, installed in 2016. Has been holding without problems since then

Can you then push the straps back out again with moderate force? For me, the top holds firmly, but at the bottom I could tap it in with light knocks or pry it out with a screwdriver without applying too much force. That doesn’t inspire the highest confidence ;).

There is a seal. Possibly behind it?

Is there no manual?

There is an instruction and it also says to screw tightly, but it is for many variants at the same time and therefore did not fit at another point. However, I could not see a hole inside the frame either, so there actually cannot be a hole behind the seal. I can take a picture of the inside of the frame on Friday, as I will be on site again and have another identical frame lying around.

For me, it looks like this. The hole might be smaller for you and completely behind the gasket.
