Good day everyone,

I currently have a construction project and I am not sure if it will really work.

Actually, it is quite simple: I have a larger carport with a length of 15m and a width of 5m made from a steel framework (so basically built the same way as the large halls!) Now I want to put walls all around (so on three sides, at the front a gate is to be installed) The bricks I actually don’t want in front of or behind the steel beams, but exactly in between. So that I don’t lose any space, is that possible? Or are there difficulties regarding expansion or is that not usually done?

That is how I imagine it (they are U-profiles or whatever they are called ;-), from the steel beams) Example 15m wall from beam to beam, the "[" are supposed to represent the beams and the "-" the bricks ;-)

I would appreciate an assessment from you.

As a profession, you state carpenter - which surprises me that walls are mentally closer to you than drywall.

It should be built from stones, not wood.

Of course it’s possible. The important thing is a solid foundation.

Why not a timber construction?
