Stairs covered with vinyl flooring like this, is it okay?

we had our concrete stairs covered with the glued vinyl floor by the floor layer.
When he was finished, we were a bit shocked because of the quality of the work done.
But he assured me several times that everything was okay. I have attached a few pictures.

Are we being too picky here? or are we right and he has to do it again? I would like to have your opinion on this.
