Good morning,

our roof box is to be clad with plastic panels. Now I have heard that it is not advisable to drill holes in them for spotlights. The plastic is said to fray and the foil on it to tear. Is that really so problematic? Should I rather use wood instead?

Our roof overhang is also clad with plastic. We had no problems with the drillings for the spots.

Even if the edges are not completely smooth, it doesn't matter. The "cut edge" is concealed anyway by the frame of the spot.

Ok that sounds good so far. Do you happen to know the exact designation of your plastic panels?
