Hello everyone,
my girlfriend and I (both 21) have been thinking for a while about moving out of our rented apartment and buying a condominium.
Our current combined net salaries amount to 4000 euros. The 13th and 14th (full) monthly salaries are not included here.
After deducting our expenses, we save about 2100 euros in individual stocks, various funds, and ETFs.
In about a year, we plan to contribute around 50,000 euros of equity (emergency fund), and I will also pay for the kitchen.
Our considerations:
Next year, we want to buy a 3-room condominium for 350,000 euros (suburb of Freiburg). We imagine living in it for several years and having children at age 27-28. If it becomes too small, we would like to rent it out or possibly sell it.
Are these thoughts realistic?
We currently save about 70% of the savings rate in stocks (-funds), and our assets are allocated accordingly.
Would you already restructure the assets + savings rate now or only immediately before buying the apartment?
The overnight money interest rate will be 0.25%.
