Hello everyone,

we are making very good progress in planning our new building; thanks to our architect.

The next (and in my opinion) important decision is the wall structure.

How should it be constructed?

..if great importance is placed on a good indoor climate (summer and winter) and good thermal insulation.
I think costs should be secondary here for the time being.

How should the structure look?

The only thing that is certain is the facing brick.

Best regards, Barossi

Since you have already decided that you want to use facing bricks, your architect can surely plan a nice wall structure using KS + core insulation depending on the desired efficiency level. I have found the indoor climate to be comparable with all types of wall structures so far – they are all airtight and stuffy without proper ventilation, and in summer the heat enters every house without air conditioning. Only eco-construction with clay plaster stands out for me, as the wall can actually breathe a little or absorb odors.

Matter of taste... not wrong: calcium silicate brick with an RDK of 2.2, 16 mm mineral wool, clinker

With lime-cement plaster, the wall structure is also vapor-permeable and can "breathe". Add silicate paint on top and you have a very moisture-regulating wall structure.

Hello,

we are not aiming for a Kfw subsidy "at all costs." It has to make sense to us, and a healthy and comfortable living environment is very important; preferably without controlled residential ventilation.

Best regards, Barossi

Then you would have to ventilate very often, although I don't think the fixed intervals are one hundred percent correct. An open livingDiningKitchen area of 70 sqm inhabited by two people does not necessarily need to be completely ventilated every 2 hours. Ideally with 3m ceiling height, then there is even more reserve for fresh air.
