Hello,

I actually assumed that the collectors would be installed on the roof of the house. However, since there is no south-facing side, I was told that I should expect a loss of 30%. The pipes would also have to be laid outside, as it was not planned. But I really don't like the solution on the carport at all. So far, the system is only placed there provisionally. Even though I don't expect it to be changed again because of the subjective opinion of the builder, I would still like to know your opinion about it. Can it be done better? Alternatives?

Best regards,
Robin

Do you want beautiful or efficient? From the perspective of efficiency and ecology, I wouldn't care at all.

We have mounted our entire flat roof with photovoltaics. You get used to it.

I don't really find the solution on the carport that bad. It almost disappears from two directions behind the white roof edging. Does it also reach the side at the front in the line of sight?

I don't think it's bad either. By the way, nice color of the house

So the roof is finished for the most part, the white trim just masks the slope. Only aluminum strips will be added to the sides. From the street side, you can see the peak of the system, from the substructure only a little. That's still okay. You are probably right and I will get used to it. When the system suddenly was set up, I was just a bit startled, but it will settle. The color choice was of course made by my wife. I wouldn't have dared...

Whenever you see it, you just have to think "It saves money, gas, oil, whatever, and is good for the environment. Thank you!" Three months later, you'll laugh about it.
