Hello,

I have requested quotes for soil surveys from 3 providers.
The requirement is as follows:

- Structural stability report (200 kN/m²)
- Sampling of soil for later chemical analysis for subsequent disposal of the soil initially according to LAGA

Which of the 3 offers is the best?

1.)
An investigation of the subsoil by means of 2 boreholes of 5 m each
and also 1 light dynamic probing of 5 m.
Summary of the investigation results in a meaningful report / expert opinion with requirements according to HOAI.
Effort including arrival and departure, on-site investigations and the report for a flat rate of 650 net.
The examination of the infiltration capacity of the subsoil costs €75 net.
The investigation of a mixed soil sample according to LAGA soil is €300 net.

2.)
Foundation report incl.
- Travel,
- Two small percussion boreholes in soil classes 1 – 4 (conditionally 5) up to max. 6.0 m below ground level,
- Photo documentation of the property or construction site including access situation,
- Preparation of the results in detailed form (report creation).

This service for €600.00 net plus 16% VAT

Offer 2 is the cheapest. Offer 1 checks the infiltration capacity of the subsoil for 75 euros. This is not separately specified in the other two offers.

I think I chose the wrong expert.
I commissioned him by email and did not receive any revocation instruction.

What is the legal situation? Am I allowed to cancel the order by email?

if you already make a science out of it, how will you ever finish a house, the order is out, let the company work, check if 19% VAT is in the offer, then you can reduce the invoice to 16% if it still happens this year

He charges for an examination that we don't need according to the architect, and that despite asking. I find it unpleasant to take unnecessary money from us. But I think I will just have the examination removed then.

It's not about making a science out of it. I don't want to waste money unnecessarily at every point. I just don't know which tests are sufficient.
