Soil survey report. What exactly does it tell me?

Hello,

I now have the soil report for my planned new construction, which states:

"The planned foundation base of the new building should be located at a depth of at least 0.8m (i.e., frost-resistant foundation) below the existing ground surface. The conducted soil investigations indicate soft plastic clay soils at this depth, which are only moderately load-bearing. Due to the high groundwater level, we recommend constructing the foundation base of the new building within a replacement soil cushion." Soil class 3-4

The base edge is to be set at +0.4m above the existing street level.

Do I understand correctly that 80cm must be excavated and backfilled? The cubic meters can therefore be easily calculated by oneself. What kind of costs should be expected here? The soil expert only said in a "quick run-through" that 80cm is standard and otherwise everything is as it should be.

I would be very grateful for any experiences!

No, below 80 cm the floor must be replaced. The structural engineer determines the thickness in cooperation with the expert. It can be 50 cm, but also 2 m.

Meldorf. Marshland. He will dig 30-50 cm deeper within the foundation strips and fill it up with filling sand. It's not so bad. Maybe 6000,- additional costs. Karsten

80cm is normal to lay foundations frost-proof. However, I understand it like the two others above me, that the underlying soil is not very load-bearing and therefore needs to be improved. Replacement soil cushion = a layer of unknown thickness that must be replaced below 80cm.

I understand it the same way as Alex... actually, the measures should be described in more detail.
