Hello everyone,

I keep seeing floor plans posted here in the forum that apparently do not come from an architect, but have been created by you yourselves.

We would also like to implement our previous ideas in a floor plan. Unfortunately, the selection of software is quite large.

I would therefore be interested in which software we as total beginners in this field can best use without having to spend hours dealing with the functions of the program.

Many thanks for your tips

Hello little devil,

I made the first drafts with Sketchup. It is relatively easy to learn, free, and there is a very large catalog with almost all imaginable objects on the internet. The disadvantages are that it is not specifically made for house planning; when you go into detail, things like roofs, stairs, etc. have to be created manually, so changes are correspondingly time-consuming.

In the meantime, I have switched to cadvilla. The entry is a bit more difficult, but once you understand the principle, it is relatively easy and better results can be achieved than with Sketchup. The entry version is available from €30, upgrades to higher versions are offered.
