We are currently planning a prefabricated house and are currently leaning towards the provider Schwörerhaus. Regarding home automation, we would like to be able to control the following automatically (preferably via iPad, iPhone): roller shutters, fresh air heating with heat recovery, possibly a door opener with fingerprint, garage door, possibly lighting (at least the option to turn off all lights with one function). Has anyone had experience with home automation at Schwörerhaus? Which system is installed there? Is it possible to install other systems through Schwörerhaus? Which system would be best suited for my project and as cost-effective as possible? What additional costs should I expect (single-family house with approx. 130 sqm)? Thank you

Just a quick search... and tadaaaaa:

Who wouldn’t like to create and play their favorite music on their iPad while sitting on the sofa?! And if someone rings the doorbell during that time, you could comfortably talk to the guest from the sofa via your iPad and, if desired, also open the door automatically.

HomeOne was developed for such situations. The system consists of a media/control server, music zone amplifiers for playing music in any rooms, and a WLAN access point.

Using WLAN-enabled devices, such as the iPhone or iPad, you can access the internal home network wiring via WLAN (wireless). All components needed for HomeOne are connected to this network wiring. Commands sent over the network to the media/control server are processed there and passed on via sound cards to a central music zone amplifier. The loudspeakers of the individual rooms are then connected to this amplifier.

Since the camera of the door intercom system is also integrated into the building’s network wiring, it can also be accessed wirelessly.

The system can be expanded almost arbitrarily, for example with control of roller shutters, window status monitoring, lighting control, heating control, etc. Altogether, this results in an almost inexhaustible portfolio of functionalities.

Hmm yeah, sounds interesting... however, the central server would bother me... if it fails, most likely nothing will work anymore...

Can anyone tell me something about the costs?

I actually want to continue using my FritzBox, which among other things serves as a telephone system and [DECTStation]. Is this possible in connection with [Home One]?

I don’t need music distribution.

I think the Fritzbox can be operated in parallel with it...

Also quickly googled again:

Our Home One system is KNX based, meaning we first need a KNX control line in the house to connect the sensors. We sensibly place the actuators centrally in the electrical distribution. The preparation looks like this: possible consumers are wired in parallel to the conventional wiring in the electrical distribution. The distribution must still have space reserve to accommodate future applications.

For aesthetic reasons, window and door contacts should be integrated into the fittings. The contacts are then also routed to the distribution.

It is extremely difficult to give a price here because we do not know the house; for this, we should have floor plans.
You will receive this information from your Schwörer house sales consultant on site.

So something decent after all... Prices of course are only disclosed directly by the consultant...

Since I own an iPhone and iPad and work via WLAN @ Home, I would be interested to know what it's like when the WLAN connection, which happens to me about 10 times a day, is cut off? Are you still in control of your system then?

asks Yvonne; there should be no stupid questions...

Hmm, what is wrong with your connection? Mine runs continuously without interruptions...

But regarding your question:

iPad etc. are in such a case only input devices and visualization... the control runs in the background and it does not really matter whether your iPad currently has Wi-Fi or not... you just cannot make any changes at that moment (unless you have additional wired input devices) but nothing will go rogue...

However, as I already wrote above, as soon as there are central servers and they fail, parts or even the entire installation will be unreachable/non-functional as long as the server is out of operation.
