Hello
I am looking for good advice and came across this forum and hope it is okay to start directly with a question.
In search of a replacement for a pressureless water heater that has worked flawlessly for over 30 years but is annoying due to system-related dripping (especially because of ugly stains on the sink), I came across the feature "Antidrop" (or similar). The question is whether you pay for the drip protection with an increased risk of sealing problems. Especially with the common "Stiebel Eltron SNU 5 SL," there are many complaints about this. What do you think about this or the alternatives "Vaillant eloSTOR VEN 5 exclusive," "Viessmann Vitotherm ES2," or "Bosch Tronic Store Advanced"?
The second problem, possibly caused by the dripping but also by frequent use, is the too short lifespan of previous inexpensive single-lever mixers. After 2-3 years, water increasingly leaks under the lever and lime deposits form, also at the attachment point on the sink. Around the joint in the lower part, a green-white ring develops. The lever becomes stiffer. Even with more intensive care, all this can only be somewhat delayed. I wipe over it daily with a cloth; I don’t want to put in more effort there.
Research has shown Ideal Standard faucets Cerafit, Ceraflex, and Ceraplan. But I don’t really understand the product descriptions. I almost don’t care about the appearance. Does practical usefulness increase with the price, and which series is preferable? Or is another brand just as good or better?
The goal is to reduce the time spent cleaning and replacing the faucet as much as possible.
