Hello,

We would like to install a sliding door to the pantry. I have installed a lintel but the width of the wall opening is causing issues. Are there standard sizes for this? We need a narrow max. 1.60m door + passage.

Thank you very much

Regards
Markus

Towards the pantry, I would not find a 160 cm wide sliding door at all narrow (???)- the next standard construction size would be 163.5 (but irrelevant, as there are no stock sizes in this dimension on the market, and even less so for sliding doors).

We have a 1.51 m opening in the shell construction. But we will now reduce this to 1.35 m, as the manufacturer we prefer only produces glass up to 1.40 m. So: choose the door, then determine the opening width.

I mean 1.60m wide door + door opening. We currently have a sliding door with a width of 75cm. How big should the opening be then? 70cm?

If the door runs in front of or behind the wall, that's fine. So a raw construction of 70 would give 67 clearance with plaster, and the door would overlap by about two thumbs' width on both sides.
