I recently moved in and during the viewing the apartment was still a construction site. Now a new kitchen unit has been purchased, which will be taken over by the landlord. But the water pipe has to be installed by oneself. A big challenge now is to seal the water pipe, which is actually solved with rubber rings. But water still drips out there. Which adhesives, films, or materials could help, if any?

If you bought the cheap junk from the hardware store, you have to be extremely careful when tightening it; if you overtighten once, the thing will remain leaky. Because then you scratched the thread. In our kitchen, the siphon pipes are also made of plastic, but with high-quality connectors... then it also works with "just one rubber gasket." The pipe doesn’t have to withstand high pressure. What helps is hemp/flax that has been greased. That’s how metal screw connections are sealed by plumbers.
