Single-story construction - is it possible to plan a dormer on the upper floor?

Hello,
hope it is okay that I am creating a topic here (I had already opened a similar one, but now it is becoming more concrete).

Does anyone have experience whether it is possible dimension-wise to install a dormer on the upper floor in a single-story building?
With this, I want to achieve that more space with straight walls can be created without sloping walls.

Construction is in Schleswig Holstein: Building regulations:
Full stories are above-ground stories if they have a height of at least 2.30 m over at least three quarters of their floor area. A top story set back from at least one exterior wall of the building or a story with at least one inclined roof surface is a full story if it has a height of at least 2.30 m over at least three quarters of the floor area of the story below; the height of the stories is measured from the upper edge of the floor to the upper edge of the floor of the ceiling above, for stories with roof surfaces up to the upper edge of the roof covering.

The definition is now clear. However, is this possible with a single story?
Google unfortunately did not help in searching for "single-story with dormer" either. A floor plan would of course be great.

Thank you very much

Typically, a dormer creates a standing height of 2m or more (i.e., a fully counted floor area within the room), where without it there would usually be a height between 1 and 2 m (i.e., only half counted). Thus, the dormer practically "calculates" an increase in the area of the attic, and is effective insofar as it approaches a "full floor."

A second reason to use them sparingly is that regulations on roof pitches, eave heights, etc. usually mention a limitation, for example, that only over one third of the roof length may structures like dormers be allowed.

What I wrote above also applies to cross gables, which you probably actually mean here: these are relatives of dormers, but with fronts that represent a straight continuation of the facade, instead of being placed within the roof surface first.

Pure calculation example! Fundamentally, a single-story design does not exclude one or even two dormers.

Thank you very much,
then I will have to calculate it.

I have one more question regarding the calculation of areas:
From 2 m ceiling height, 100% is counted as area,
from 1.5-2 m ceiling height only 50%,
under 1.5 m is not counted?
Is this correct?
Where can I find this? In the development plan? In the construction contract? Or the state building code?

Thank you very much

This is living space calculation and not a full floor calculation. You yourself wrote/quoted above what a full floor is.

No, between 1.0 and 2.0 m it is counted as half. For the full storey calculation, it can be significant in which area 2.3 m are met – you have to check the respective state building code. As you quoted above in the example, it even concerns storey height, not room height. For the floor area ratio, on the other hand, the method of calculating living space is relevant, so it is best to always keep that in mind. If you want to make full use of the last permitted cubic meter, you calculate longer than you build.
