Hello dear community,

first of all, a big thank you from me as well! You have helpful information in so many areas that is simply invaluable.

we are in the final considerations and your opinion would be very important to us!

Apologies if I don’t have all the necessary/important information together. Please feel free to ask. Otherwise, we look forward to your feedback.

Details and our wishes:
-without a basement
-street side is on the east
-our garden on the west
-the wish is to have the children facing the garden side
-washing machine, dryer on the upper floor
-double garage 6x6m directly attached to the house
-house entrance on the side
-optional was the L-shaped kitchen (but then the kitchen would face the street and the office the garden)
-and a landing staircase! However, we did not manage to realize a good room layout in connection with the side entrance
-height of ground floor 3m
-height of upper floor 2.8m
-for the kitchen (the red line) there will be a 3m glass sliding element

Hope I haven’t forgotten anything important. Thanks in advance for your feedback

Take correct furniture measurements, e.g. parents' bed, and consider movement spaces, e.g. table edge - wall/next piece of furniture minimum distance 80 cm

The staircase is located differently on both floors. Or do I have a distortion in my vision?

Yes, you do. :D (and now some filler words have to be added...) Ok, they have become unnecessary now... And another straight staircase! The entrance area is not successful. The door almost hits the staircase. Then again a long (narrow) hallway. Once again no light in the upper floor hallway. Access to living/dining/kitchen. Long distances to the kitchen. The dressing room behind the bedroom is inconvenient.

Addition:

Solvable by adding windows in the upper floor hallway. Move the utility room door. It will be brighter upstairs but not better downstairs.

A door directly at the entrance to the kitchen is possible.

The staircase is once again the "culprit" here, as a central element.

I generally don’t find a large rectangle as an open space (living/dining/kitchen) appealing.

That would be worth (further) consideration.
