Dear community,

after much consideration, I have finally put together a floor plan that I find quite good. The entrance is to the north. The street side is only to the north. To the east, south, and west are other single-family houses. The technical room is in the basement. The upper floor has children's rooms, a bathroom, a toilet, a utility room, and the master bedroom.

My question:
Which ground floor layout do you tend to prefer? I am bothered by the "small" vestibule, as there is little space for a sufficiently large wardrobe. In addition, there is a rather narrow passage to the anteroom.

Your opinion is requested:

Variation A:

Variation B:

Thanks in advance for all contributions,

I think that can only be answered competently after also knowing the respective upper floor.

I find A clearly better. The pantry has an optimal location relative to the kitchen - which is definitely not the case with B. There are rooms and areas where it doesn't matter where they are. These include, for example, guests' WC, wardrobe (if in the entrance area), stairs (if it fits on the upper floor).

I see it like 11ant ... no qualified answer without OG ;), because the location of the stairs is definitely decisive there.

I wonder why, besides a pantry on the ground floor, there also needs to be a storage room when there is also a basement.

A wardrobe near the entrance is an important factor, ideally so that you can really accommodate the seasonal clothing/shoes of a 4-5 person family.

Option A with the following changes: - Move the front door to the left and remove the passage from the garage to the house, then there is enough space for a wardrobe - Move the toilet to the storage room - Build a wall between the now free toilet and the pantry, but keep the door

Don't know if the grid corresponds to 1m, but you watch TV from 7m distance?
