Hello, unfortunately we did not completely hide the attached grey silicone tape used to seal the sink underneath the sink. The protruding remains are very difficult to remove because they do not dry and are sticky like chewing gum. Does anyone have a tip on how to get it off? Best regards N.

Hi,

I had the same problem back then.

I cut it off with a sharp utility knife. However, VERY CAREFULLY and without pressing hard so you don't scratch the countertop. With the new sink, I deliberately left out this sealing tape and used silicone right away. :D

hehe yes the grey Ikea tape is a fiddly thing until you get it right. The first installation also protruded almost everywhere, even though we had attached it to the sink below & then mounted it. We also used a cutter (although from the craft store and not a utility knife).

After the move, we also used clear silicone
