Good evening to you all!

I am renting (hopefully that’s still okay) and after a short time, the shut-off handle of my shower mixer tap (Friedrich Grohe) came loose. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice that during the viewing. From my amateur assessment, it looks like it was installed incorrectly at some point (or something has broken?) and the plastic piece is now stuck inside the handle.

Since I have a €70 deductible on repairs, I would like to fix it myself more cheaply if it’s not a big task.

Can someone tell me if that looks like the right replacement part and if it can be easily exchanged, or if the original part can be saved? Do you see a way I can get the plastic piece out of the handle?

Thank you!

Kind regards, Waldkauz

The spare part is 47187 Grohe shut-off handle for Thermostat Automatic 2000 (I am unfortunately not allowed to link it and I have not found any editing function). Thank you!
