Hello everyone,

since my bathroom is still under rough construction, I have been considering installing a bidet toilet. However, I have some questions. If I understood correctly, they only come with cold water and power connections. So is the warm water generated in the toilet? Does it come out immediately or is there always a brief cold flush first? How do I prepare properly? I don’t want to see either a water connection or a faucet. Are there then water and power connections on the tiles and in the toilet? I really haven’t found anything on that. Which bidet toilet is affordable and good? Thanks for your feedback.

There are also variants with hot water connection. But then you need a constantly running circulation or you might have cooler water at the beginning. Yep. It is basically a mini instantaneous water heater. Warm water comes almost immediately. Of course, you need electricity and water in the wall (or in the pre-wall element). Power and water come from the wall and are routed into the toilet from behind/below. You don’t see anything. See picture from Toto:

In the form of a socket and tap? Or does a flexible cable have to come out of the wall? Water coupling. Unfortunately, the drawing does not show that.

Just take a look online at all the Toto products. There are always installation drawings. It actually comes via hose + coupling or via power cable from the wall.

Thanks for the tip. Toto is not in my league at 2,000€. And a flexible hose in the wall also seems suspicious to me. I have seen broken hoses quite often. I would prefer a pipe up to the top edge of the tile. The outlets also do not seem standardized. With Toto, they come out between the pipes from the wall, and with Bernstein, in the middle of the drain.

Are there possibly any recommendations or tips on what to consider? What are your experiences? Thank you for your feedback.
