Hello everyone,

I have the following problem... we bought a house. Now I made an opening from the living room to the conservatory. In order to support the actual concrete ceiling (cast-in-place concrete, not plastered) during this with steel pipe props, I had to cut holes into the ceiling. In addition, I dismantled the old chimney. The living room ceiling is a suspended gypsum board ceiling, which is wallpapered with [Raufaser].
I aligned the new holes in the ceiling caused by the renovation work with the drywall ceiling using appropriate C- and U-profiles, as well as direct hangers and gypsum boards.
Now the question arises what to do about the appearance of the ceiling. Can the current ceiling simply be re-wallpapered with [Raufaser]? Or will I face problems?
Or should the old [Raufaser] be removed first? But is that even possible without damaging the gypsum board? Surely that is also a tedious job!?
