Hello,

what experiences do you have with shortening Hällestad countertops? Can the aluminum edge be applied cleanly in terms of appearance after shortening?

hello claus, i ordered the [Personlig] back then in black ([URL_INTERNA=https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/ikea-personlig-arbeitsplatter-im-onlineplaner.20964/]). but it is not aluminum on the front, just a metal effect. so... just normal edge banding that you can iron on. if you look at the right corner on the picture you can see that it was done very neatly. so it's all down to your craftsmanship. it definitely holds up great so far. regards robi ps. on the opposite side i had to shorten a standard hällestad board and also applied the edge banding on the side there. no problem. looks great and holds....( so far )

At HÄLLESTAD, pieces are not ironed on but glued. You have to get the appropriate adhesive somewhere.

correct

slowly I'm getting "rüdesheimer"

I had ironed the cut edges of the "metod" body (for the gas boiler), which I had to shorten....
